Clients struggling with specific life-transitional stress (e.g., relational, occupational stressors) are provided an integrated bio-psycho-spiritual approach, of both life-transitional supportive care and psycho-education re: coping & stress-reduction, to empower them to take care of themselves physically, mentally + spiritually through major life-transitional periods.
VITA Therapy focuses on helping a person face, adjust and cope with the natural and necessary changes and turning points in Life. VITA Therapy was developed to convey the spirit of ‘Vita Involvement in Therapeutic Action’—challenging a person to become actively engaged and vitally involved in Life through therapeutic action. That is, actively facing and engaging with Life-transitional change, in order to empower oneself to overcome, learn and grow from the seasonal transition and challenge at hand.
Dr. Poppito's early clinical training and career expertise is in existential therapy - helping clients to fully live in the face of the unknown – those life-transitional stressors.
COVID-19 is a prime example. As with cancer, where patients struggle with an existential threat from within, this new virus has us all struggling with an existential threat from beyond.
Dr. Poppito received rigorous training in providing Integrative Behavioral Health Consultation (integrated bio-psycho-spiritual) services while working with military populations. She has extensive experience helping to navigate people through multiple competing life-transitional stressors, impacting one’s overall physical health and psychological well-being. Such Life-transitional stress can manifest in unhealthy coping – leading to anxiety and depression, and unhealthy lifestyle such as poor diet,
exercise and restorative self-care – resulting in medical/physical issues. VITA Therapy and Dr. Poppito are here to
help you work through these life-transtional stressors.
